Nancy K. Smith has been a
teacher in Nebraska, Kansas, and California. She spent 5 years
as the Director of Child Nutrition and Purchasing and
Warehousing for Antelope Valley Union High School District., two
years as the Chief Financial Officer for a 9 district Schools’
Transportation Agency (JPA), three years as Assistant
Superintendent for Business with the Palmdale School District,
and 10 years as the Superintendent of Palmdale School District.
Now retired, she has served on the Central Valley Schools Health
and Welfare Trust (CVT) board of trustees for 9 years and as
chairperson for the last 2 years. CVT is a management/labor
health benefits trust with over 120,000 covered lives.
